The AGM was held at the Lanyon Club and there was a very good turn out.

Meeting commenced at 2.45 (about 30 minutes after Chris said he was just round the corner)

Chook, Azz, Spetsy, GMan , Drady , Super resigned and elections were had. The follwing are your new Executive for the Bears

The following was discussed :

Fundraising 

Should we or shouldnt we ...... it was agreed to fundraise IF the committee could provide a plan that the money was going to be spent on something for the members of the club.

What sorts of fundraising?

Sell chocs was tabled by Chook as it is easy and required very little effort . Pope suggested his area was crying out for chocs but we need to act fast if this is to occur as the social club was thinking of buying them.

BBQ - One of thos BBQs at bunnings/harvey norman/ somewhere else (i forgot). A lot more work which requires all Bears time but can raise in the vicinity of $2000 for one days effort.

Things to spend our extra cash on ?????

Polo Shirts, either subsidise or purchase outright
End of season trip
PMs XI

Merchandise

Agreement that the Bears would like another shirt, if possible a polo style which can be worn out and about. Drady has been dobbed in to take over from Spetsy in the merchandise area and is going to look into it and report to the next committee meeting. There was talk of a small nom fee which will give you a free shirt but we will need to explore that as a committee.

Beanies were brought up but just to annoy AZZ who thinks Beanies are stupid!

An actual Bears match day shirt order was questioned , but we would need 12 to order. It was decided to send an email to all to see if anyone wants another shirt.

Kit 

Super suggest another set of pads. Drady (i think) suggested another kit bat.

ACTION - Drady to do a stocktake of the kit and report back to the committee.
 
Saturday vs Sunday 

Discussion was had and Chook stated that there most likely would not be anough players to fill a regular Saturday team.

It them moved to whether we field 2 teams , effectively meaning those who wnat to play every Sunday could....In C Grade and D grade....the only issue is what to do when both teams make the finals..... 

ACTION - Chook to contact all players who did not respond to the 14 emails asking if they are playing to see if they are. Then we can make a decision at the next committee meeting. Chook to also email President of the Association to see if we can enter two teams and report to the committee. 

It was decided the committee would meet in 2 weeks from the AGM.
