LMS Details
08 Apr 2014
Good Evening Bears,
We have received confirmation that the LMS comp is indeed starting this Sunday. Contrary to my earlier e-mail, the competition has been revised to 3 Divisions, with the Bears in Division 3. RMC, Deakin and Amaroo are the grounds being used across all 3 Divisions
Updating Availability
There are a couple of options when it comes to updating availability. As with Sunday Social, fixtures (once they become available) will be loaded onto the Bears website, so Bears will be able to update their availability this way.
As part of the registration process, Bears will also receive LMS-generated e-mails concerning availability, you can indicate your availability using this - however, indicating your availability through the LMS website does not mean you are playing. There maybe some Bears (including yours truly) who have unsubscribed from LMS e-mails, so if you're not receiving them, it isn't an issue!
We've had instances in previous seasons where players thought they were playing based on LMS e-mails, so figured we would clarify this upfront to avoid Bears being disappointed when they rock up on a Sunday only to find out they're not playing. To quote Pommy, the selection process will be 'fair and share'.
Registration Process
If there are any Bears who have not previously played LMS, but are wanting to play this season, can you let me know as we will need to register you on the LMS website
This week's team
Thanks to Pope who has got this week's team sorted and the team was announced a few minutes ago with our season opening up at Amaroo at 10am. Apologies to any Bears who were keen to play but have missed out, we'll endeavour to give everyone who wants a run, a run during the season. I know from experience, just rocking up when you're listed as 9th man can result in you getting a game.
What to Bring
The points system used by LMS means that we receive Bonus Points if all Bears turn up in LMS shirts (1 bonus point) and white pants (another bonus point). While we wait for cyan and silver shirts to be made available, Drady will bring the LMS shirts that we have used previously.
We have to pay the umpire our match fees on the day - $15 per player.
Look forward to seeing you all on Saturday night for the Bearlow!!!!
