Good evening Bears
First off, can folks please email Popey with the Bearlow votes (for both games) at jason.bishop@velocitynet.com.au these votes go into the Bears 20/20 award.
The bears went into the Semi Finals fired up for a big day. We treated the game like it was the grand final against the competition leaders - INFORM. Good news, we had an absolutely blinder and took em out! Some sensational fielding, tight bowling a double play wicket had INFORM totally gobsmacked and all out for 61! The bears couldn't believe it and we were in with a super chance to win the grand final.
Highlights:
Double wicket play
Azz 2 wickets, Rankin 3 and drady teaming up with HP for 1 a piece.
Batting, the bears took a very defensive posture to the point of almost a statue like innings, dragging the innings out to the last overs to get to 61.
Scorecard:
Grand finals - well we played, and really the Semi was our Grand final.
Unfortunately the bears came up against a very inform Brown Trout, who definitely brought their A Game, smashing their way through the semi finals and really should have stayed there when we played them with the continuing batting prowess putting on 188. The bears luck definitely dried up in the semis, and really the boys bowled well, dropped a few catches and really were outgunned with the batsmen finding the boundary a few to many times.
Highlights:
Tim making 50 not out!!!
Wickets to Rankin (2), DB (1), Azz (1)
Bears all out for 108 in very trying conditions
