Quick write-up for Sundays game.
The Polar Bears showed up ready to go and though there was a dense fog @ deakin with a temp of 0'degrees this wasnt hiding the googah players because they were simply not there, well to start with.
Eventually, they did and with their mysterious 3 ring ins with expensive kit the bears were unsure on what to expect, however wining the toss we elected to bat. As you'll see below we did really well in trying conditions with everyone batting making a contribution with a few NO's. It was great to see and hear applause for batting constraint, which only confused the opposition further who were freezing on the field. Bears carrying their wickets to 166.
The bears then went into field, the fog lifting but the temp dropping the fielding was immeidately impared, though the bowling was tight. Wickets are listed below. Notable moments - Damo B's catching demonstration, Ian unfortunately snapping off a finger in a difficult catching attempt and everyone parking themselves on the boundary to limit the googahs attempts to go over the top. Fortunately for the bears we got them all out for 83, with their last man standing getting about 3 hrs of batting practice until he was caught .
With the big win, it places us in 3rd position. We have two more rounds (no game on the long weekend) to go and then possibly into the finals unless it snows.
