Please be patient and acknowledge the difficult decisions being made

Bears,

As we look forward to our first ever Grand Final , I would like to thank all players that have played this year. We have all contributed to getting the Bears as far as we have and there has been some great team and individual performances throughout the season.

With the semis washed out , we are down to only one grade participating next week.

Selection is going to be a real doozy, as we have to turn 22 awesome Bears into 11 (plus 3 or 4 reserve bears). Some will miss out, some might feel annoyed. Please, have a thought for Hot Pants and the committee, this is a hard enough task without any angst.

If you are not selected to play on the day , we still want you to be a part of the occasion. We need drinkers, smokers, BBQers , Vuvuzela players, runners, drinkers , designated drivers, football kickers, frisbee throwers and many other groups of people. Most importantly , those who may not get selected, we want you to cheer those that do.

Lets get as many people there as we can and provide a carnival type atmosphere (mmmm pluto pups/dagwood dogs).

We also think, regardless of win , lose or draw that we do something after the game , I am open to suggestions (maybe all come to the hospital to see the twins! Lisa would love that!!!!)

A decision on the GF team should be made available early next week.
